We are looking for experienced Senior Human Resources Managers to ensure that all Talent operations & strategy are carried on smoothly and effectively.  You will be responsible for developing People & Talent strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset.

The goal is to ensure that all Talent strategic needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives. You will have the unique opportunity to design, develop and give input into the Employee experience at Makosi while working directly with Leadership and Management across several business areas on talent planning, employee value proposition, rewards & recognition, internal recruitment strategies, employee relations, compliance and the overall 360 Degree People management function. This position demands a balance of creativity, drive, and interpersonal savvy that will position you to play a key role in advancing a more accessible, diverse and equitable talent base through our hiring practices.

Duties

Your Daily Adventures will include:

  • Developing corporate plans for a variety of Talent matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
  • Acting to support the people talent factor in the Service LIne by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
  • Overseeing all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards and resolve litigation risks
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
  • Design, implementing and driving a niche people strategy to focus on achieving the successful end to end people management functionalities for all consultants with a key focus on compliance, efficiencies and experience together with strong internal & external client management and candidate satisfaction
  • Creating, designing and managing innovate people & talent methodologies through identifying unique, creative and non-traditional talent management methods
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of Talent Professionals to successfully and strategically deliver on high-quality consultant experience and support targets with the overall objective of creating a remarkable consultant experience
  • Develop, adopt and drive a uniquely formulated talent KPI that will drive and contribute towards a high performing team environment and culture of accountability, continuous improvement with a strong focus on team metrics, efficiency and productivity
  • Developing and monitoring people compliance that improve operational and talent efficiencies including developing an attractive employee value proposition, policy review and implementation, disciplinary processes, people and process compliance
  • Enhancing our creative people & talent strategies leading us to further expand, increase and take advantage of our competitive advantage in the market
  • Drawing insights from analytics to make our hiring process even smarter and more efficient and use your strong communication and influencing skills to tell vibrant, meaningful and impactful stories using the data to influence decisions

Role Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of HR, talent & process management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with people compliance matters and processes, policy management and implementation
  • Experience managing talent experience for higher value services and successfully supporting that over time while maintaining high and efficient talent and people metrics & targets
  • Ability to understand business goals and consultant aspirations to anticipate future needs, and develop solutions
  • Ability to develop relationships, optimize B2C engagement, and evangelize service offerings through strategic solutions
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex problems clearly and concisely to different audiences 
  • Excellent commercial communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) strong listener who makes people feel understood; can be inspiring and fun while being capable of flexing to different audiences
  • Collaborative team player who takes the lead in driving initiatives, working across teams and structuring approaches to new opportunities
  • Has the ability to thrive in a fast paced, results-oriented environment, solve problems creatively, think on his/her feet and be comfortable in new situations working with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player with innovative ideas to inspire Client loyalty and adoption
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building strong internal and external relationships
  • Consistent track record of highly-professional Client service in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure when working through Client issues


Preferred experience:

  • Talent & People management experience within the Accounting industry
  • Vast network and knowledge in CA(SA) and related Accounting Industries
